We Saw a Sneak Peak and Lilo & Stitch did not disappoint!
The new live-action “Lilo & Stitch” movie is an absolute gem that truly pulls at your heartstrings from start to finish. It’s a wildly funny and deeply touching story about our favorite lonely Hawaiian girl and her best friend Stitch, who unexpectedly helps mend her broken Ohana. This reimagining offers a fresh perspective on the animated classic, beautifully expanding on themes of ‘ohana, belonging, and redemption against Hawaii’s breathtaking landscapes. This definetly pulls on your heart strings more than the animated classic.

What truly makes this film special is how it stays true to the essence of the beloved original while feeling vibrantly new. Fans of the animated classic will be thrilled by the direct references woven throughout. Not only does Chris Sanders return as the iconic voice of Stitch, but familiar voices like Tia Carrere and Amy Hill, who were part of the 2002 film, also make a welcome return in new roles, adding a wonderful layer of nostalgia. Jason Scott Lee, who voiced David Kawena in the animated film, also appears in the new movie.

The filmmakers have done a wonderful job of bringing this Hawaiian Disney classic to life in a way that feels incredibly grounded and real. This movie isn’t just a retelling; it’s a heartfelt expansion that reminds us all that “Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind, or forgotten.”
We predict this Lilo and Stitch remake will become a favorite to all. Mahalo to all that worked on this film.
